Youth Golf Programs
Accessible golf instruction designed to introduce young people to the game while developing life skills.
Learn MoreFairway Future Golf Foundation uses the game of golf to help young people build confidence, character, critical-thinking skills, leadership, and brighter futures.
Every gift puts opportunity within reach for a young person in South Florida.
Give Today →On the course, young people practice patience under pressure, honesty when no one is watching, and the discipline to keep going after a bad shot. FFGF builds structured programming around these moments — turning a round of golf into a lesson in confidence, critical thinking, and character that carries far beyond the fairway.
FFGF's programming primarily reaches Black and Brown youth in historically underserved South Florida communities, including Miami Gardens, Overtown, Homestead, Pompano Beach, and Deerfield Beach. Based on the demographics of the communities and institutions where programming has been delivered, the youth populations served are predominantly youth of color. FFGF is implementing a more comprehensive organization-wide data collection system to report future participant demographics using direct program enrollment data.
The issue isn't that young people don't know how to play golf — it's that many have never had access to it. Many of the youth FFGF serves have limited access to golf courses, driving ranges, equipment, professional instruction, golf technology, country club environments, golf mentors, golf-related careers, college golf pathways, and the networks and relationships connected to the sport. FFGF exists to help close that gap.
Golf also provides a natural, structured setting for young people to practice patience, emotional regulation, focus, decision-making, resilience, and self-control — skills that carry directly into the classroom, the home, and the community.
Unlike most youth sports, golf is self-officiated, largely individual, and unforgiving of shortcuts. That's exactly what makes it a powerful development tool. A young person on the course has to manage frustration, make a decision, live with it, and try again — every single hole.
Small wins on the course build the belief that effort leads to progress.
Structured practice teaches follow-through, on and off the course.
Every shot is a decision — club selection, strategy, risk versus reward.
Youth learn to lead themselves first, then their group, then their community.
Coaches and volunteers model consistency, respect, and encouragement.
Exposure to a lifelong sport, new environments, and future pathways.
Practicing patience, self-awareness, and healthy responses to pressure and frustration.
Exposure to environments, equipment, and relationships many youth otherwise wouldn't reach.

A medal earned, a coach who showed up, a young person who kept swinging after a bad hole. This is the everyday work of youth development through golf — program by program, session by session, across Broward and Miami-Dade.
